Eye OKs 'Kiss' pilot pending male lead

'Jenny' thesp Kent to star in romantic comedy

NEW YORK -- CBS has given a cast-contingent order to the 20th Century Fox TV comedy pilot "Heather's Kiss," which is being created by "Home Improvement" writer Howard Morris.

Heather Paige Kent, who played Jenny McCarthy's best friend on NBC's short-lived laffer "Jenny," will star in the show, described as a romantic comedy. Morris is writing and producing the pilot.

The Eye web's final approval on the project is contingent on the casting of a male lead to star opposite Kent.
