Prisma's 'Great' deal

Marketing company ties in with MFF

Large-format film producer MacGillivray Freeman Films ("Everest") has appointed Prisma Sports & Media, an international sponsorship and TV marketing company, as exclusive sponsorship marketing consultant and sales agent for its new "Great Adventure Film Series."

From its offices in Switzerland, the U.S. and Britain, Prisma will work with MFF to develop the marketing program and implement sponsorship sales through Prisma's domestic and international sales network.

The two companies are creating opportunities for sponsors in the consumer outdoor sporting market to tie in with MFF's 10-film adventure series. MFF used a similar strategy with "Everest," which was sponsored by Malden Mills, makers of Polartec.

Germany's Kirch Group is the majority shareholder of Prisma.

"Dolphins" will be the first film of the "Great Adventure Film Series" (Daily Variety, Jan. 27).
