NBA entertainment ups Ueberroth, Winik

Sr. veeps added to team roster

NEW YORK -- The entertainment division of the National Basketball Assn. has promoted Heidi Ueberroth to senior VP of international television and business development, and Gregg Winik to senior VP of programming and executive producer.

Ueberroth sells NBA games and packaged series consisting of game highlights and basketball features to 105 international broadcasters reaching 199 countries in 40 languages. She's also in charge of pushing NBA Entertainment into new business relationships abroad in areas such as publishing and the Internet.

Winik is overall supervisor of TV and cable coverage of the games of the NBA and the Women's NBA. He's also in charge of such domestic and foreign series as "NBA Inside Stuff," "NBA Action," "NBA Jam," "NBA Matchup" and "WNBA Action." He also oversees promotional campaigns and public service announcements for the NBA and WNBA.

Ueberroth joined the NBA as director of international media programs in September 1994, getting her VP stripes in January 1997.

Winik is a 10-year veteran of the NBA. Moving up through the programming ranks, he got his VP chevrons in April 1995.
