Shapiro prez of TEAM

Exec to o'see, coordinate internal operations

As part of its continued expansion, TEAM Communications Group has tapped industry veteran Jonathan (Jody) Shapiro president and chief operating officer. Shapiro has also been elected to TEAM's board of directors.

In this newly created post, Shapiro will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating internal operations of the company, including corporate finance, banking, acquisition of libraries and related businesses. TEAM is a TV producer/distrib specializing in reality-based programming.

Shapiro will work directly with Drew Levin, TEAM's chairman and CEO, developing investor relations and working closely with Wall Street. TEAM is listed on the NASDAQ exchange.

"Jody brings with him a wealth of experience in both the television packaging and the financial arenas. With his contribution to our executive team, we are moving ahead with our planned expansion and roll-up strategy for TEAM Communications," Levin said in a statement.

Shapiro comes to TEAM from Harmony Holdings, where he was executive VP and president of Harmony Gold Entertainment. Prior to HHI he held top positions at CST Entertainment and at RHI TV sales, formerly New Line TV Distribution.
