3 more pix added to Sundance

'Father,' 'Ravenous,' 'Suburbans' to screen at Eccles

Industryites planning their days at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival now have even more screenings to consider, after fest organizers made three last-minute additions to the schedule.

Sony Pictures Classics' "This Is My Father," Fox 2000's "Ravenous" and "The Suburbans" -- which so far has no domestic distributor -- will all be presented in special screenings. The films will be shown at the Eccles Theatre during the Jan. 21-31, Park City, Utah, festival.

"Father," a collaboration of brothers Paul, Declan and Aidan Quinn, screens at 12:30 on Jan. 22. The multi-generational drama was written and directed by Paul Quinn, and stars Aidan Quinn, Moya Farrelly, Stephen Rea, James Caan and Jacob Tierney. Declan Quinn is the cinematographer.

"Ravenous," directed by Antonina Byrd, screens Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The pic, which toplines Robert Carlyle, Guy Pearce, David Arquette and Jeremy Davies, follows the travails of a small group of soldiers who are lured into the web of the cannibal who is stalking their snowbound mountain outpost.

Screening at 3:30 on Jan. 25 is "The Suburbans," which stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ben Stiller and Donal Ward. It's about a group of former teen rock stars who join up for a nostalgic reunion tour in their 30s.

"The Suburbans" is one of the first films to come out of Ignite Entertainment, the production company formed by Hollywood Stock Exchange creator Michael Burns.

Stiller, J.J. Abrams and Brad Krevoy are producers along with Burns. Ward directs his and Tony Guma's screenplay. William Morris is repping the pic domestically.
