Jenny McCarthy has joined Kirk Douglas, Dan Aykroyd and Lauren Bacall in Total Group's tentatively titled "Diamonds" (formerly "Sundowning"). Pic is about a former prizefighter who, together with his son and grandson, sets out to find a cache of mysterious diamonds.

McCarthy, most recently seen in Universal Pictures' "BASEketball," starred in NBC's primetime series "Jenny." The former Playboy model gained attention as the co-host of MTV's "Singled Out" and later MTV's "The Jenny McCarthy Show."

Her deal was negotiated by manager Ray Manzella and ICM's Tracy Brennan.

Nick Scotti, who starred in Paramount Pictures' "Kiss Me Guido," has been cast as a muscle-bound disco freak in New Line's "Detroit Rock City," which stars Edward Furlong.

Scotti currently stars as Tony on CBS TV's daytime drama "The Young and the Restless," which he leaves at the end of December. His deal was brokered by his agents Randi Michel and Theresa Peters of the William Morris Agency and his manager Elise Konialian of Jason Weinberg & Associates.

Scottish thesp Brian Cox, appearing on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning "Art," has joined the cast of "For Love of the Game" starring Kevin Costner and Kelly Preston.

Sam Raimi is helming "For Love," which Amy Robinson and Armyan Bernstein are producing for Universal.

Cox starred last year in "Skylight" at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. His screen credits include "Rob Roy," "Braveheart" and "The Boxer," as well as the upcoming "Rushmore," "The Corruptor" and "The Minus Man."

Cox's deal was handled by his agent, Wendy Murphy of the Irene Feldman Agency, and his manager, Matthew Lesher.

Gabriel Mann, last seen in "High Art" with Ally Sheedy, has won a starring role in Marius Balchunas' "No Vacancy." Christina Ricci and Christopher Walken have also nabbed roles in the film, which is being produced by Ron Shelton.

Past film credits for Mann include roles in "Outside Providence," "Live Virgin" and "How to Make the Cruelest Month." Mann is repped by Rocky Parker and Innovative Artists' Lilianne Laouri.
