Lyrick Studios has named Noel Resnick senior VP, development and acquisition. In her new position, Resnick will oversee all development and acquisition of new properties for the company, as well as seek co-production relationships domestically and internationally.
Previously, Resnick was senior VP, development at Lancit Media Entertainment.

Michael Lang has been appointed to VP of business development, marketing and sales for DisneyQuest. In his new role, Lang will continue to be responsible for business development, finance and real estate for the DisneyQuest project and overseeing the marketing and sales team.
Previously, Lang was director of business affairs for the company.

TBS Superstation has tapped Danielle Conroy as director of on-air promotions. In her new position, she will be responsible for overseeing the operations, procedural and financial aspects of the department.
Conroy joins the company from Gotham's IllusionFusion! where she served as manager of national operations and special projects.

KNBC Los Angeles has promoted six staffers in the news department. Carol Morton has been upped to exec producer of KNBC's morning and midday newscasts. Steve Garcia has moved to producer of the morning news, Chris Licht advanced to producer of the 11 p.m. news, and Rob Feldman and Keiko Imai-Johnson have been named producers of the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts, respectively. Becky Martinez has been tapped as exec producer, specials and news events.

King World has named Jacob Weisbarth prexy of its direct marketing unit, King World Direct. Weisbarth has been acting prexy of the home shopping arm since March 1997.

Joanna Rees Jones has been named director, business and legal affairs, for Fox Family Worldwide. In the new position, she will be responsible for all contract administration for the company.
Prior to joining Fox, Jones was director of business affairs for MGM.

Fred Siegel has been tapped senior VP of marketing for Internet company Excite.
Previously, the senior marketing veep at shopping network QVC, Siegel will oversee strategic development and execution of all marketing, advertising, promotion and public relations campaigns for the company and its WebCrawler Internet search brand.

KNBC-TV has upped Brett Crutcher to director of operations and engineering. Crutcher will report to Carol Black, prexy and G.M. of the L.A. station, and will oversee all engineering, technical and studio operations.

Steven Huerta has been named director of program research for Fox Family Worldwide. In his new position, he will oversee all secondary research efforts for Fox Family Worldwide and Fox Kids Network.
Previously, Huerta was director of research at MTM.

Mike Barz has joined WGN-TV News as the morning news sports anchor. Barz joins the station from WLUK-TV in Green Bay where he served as feature reporter. He has also developed and created shows for ESPN, CBS, Prime Network and Intersport Television in Chicago.

Chris Bailey has joined Dream Quest Images, the feature film effects division of Walt Disney Co., as animation director. Previously, Bailey has worked with the company on several projects including, "It's Tough to Be a Bug" and "Runaway Brain."
In his new position, Bailey will be responsible for the animation of the upcoming "Inspector Gadget."

BMI has upped Delia Orozco to associate director, Latin Music, in Los Angeles. Previously, Orozco served as regional manager, Latin Music, for the company. Prior to joining BMI, she served as West Coast publicity director and promotions representative at RMM Records.

Arlene Chernenko has been upped to divisional VP of SE Distribution Inc., a Scholastic Entertainment company. In her new position, Chernenko will be responsible for selling all SE Distribution consumer products, as well as overseeing the distribution of books on non-retail outlets.
Chernenko has been with the company since 1984.

Dave McCurdy has been chosen president of the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA), succeeding the retiring Peter F. McCloskey. He joins the Alliance after a seven-term career in the House of Representatives, and, most recently, was chairman and CEO of the business consulting firm McCurdy Group L.L.C.

Eden Mitchell has been named director, markets and special events, for Fox Family Worldwide. In her new position, Mitchell will be responsible for organizing more than 30 trade shows per year, special events, publicity events, corporate meetings and other events for the company's divisions. Previously she was manager, marketing and special events for the company.
Prior to joining Fox Family Worldwide, she served as manager, markets and convention services for MTM.

Andrew J. Mandell has been tapped exec VP for Universal Creative, the Universal Studios Recreation Group's design and development wing.
Mandell will be responsible for the division's global expansion projects and new product development. Previously he served as sr. VP and chief financial officer of ITT Sheraton Corp.

Fresh Produce Entertainment has named Lee Chirillo head of new business development. In her new post, Chirillo will help manage the company's clientele and seek and oversee the acquisition of new accounts.
Previously, Chirillo assisted in the development of new film and commercial production for the State of Florida. She has also served as senior account exec at Miami-based Post Edge International.
