Cinetel changes name, ups Zarchin

Exec new prexy of Scripps Prods.

TV producer Cinetel Prods. has changed its name to Scripps Prods. and promoted Jim Zarchin to president and general manager of the company.

The E.W. Scripps Co. purchased the Knoxville, Tenn.-based Cinetel and its production facility in 1994.

Zarchin, Cinetel's executive VP and general manager since 1997, succeeds Eric Ober, who was last week named prexy of Scripps' Food Network.

Scripps Prods.' recent shows include "America's Castles" for A&E; "The Greatest Trials of All Time" for Court TV; "Club Dance," "Shadetree Mechanic" and "Unspoiled Country" for the Nashville Network; and "Peyton Manning" for ESPN.
