Dimension nabs TV's 'Recall' vid

Series to premiere March 1999

NEW YORK -- Dimension Films, Miramax's genre arm, has acquired worldwide homevideo rights to "Total Recall: The Series" from Team Communications.

The TV series, which will debut on the Showtime Network in March 1999, is based on the 1990 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger that grossed $140 million at the domestic box office.

Alliance Television is producing the series in Toronto in association with Team Communications and Polygram Television. Series stars Michael Easton.

The acquisition was negotiated on behalf of Dimension by Vicki Cherkas, Miramax senior vice president for business and legal affairs. Eric Elias, senior veepee for business affairs negotiated on behalf of Team Communications Group.
