Allison Brecker, who recently oversaw the production of "One True Thing" for Universal Pictures, has been upped to executive vice-president of production for the studio.

Brecker continues to report to Stacey Snider, prexy of production.

She joins Kevin Misher at the exec VP level. Misher's contract was recently extended.

Brecker has several projects in various stages of production and development for the studio. The teen comedy "East Great Falls High" just wrapped principal photography in September.

"Curious George," based on the children's book, and a live-action comedy based on the "Archie" comic books are both in development under Brecker.

"In the little more than a year that she's been here, Ally has really shined, demonstrating remarkable creativity and energy," Snider said.

Before Universal, Brecker was with Walt Disney Pictures for three years. She worked on "George of the Jungle" and the direct-to-video sequel "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves."
