Centropolis taps Fritz

Exec named publicity veep

Suzanne Fritz, a former MGM publicist, has taken over as VP of publicity for Centropolis Entertainment for partners Dean Devlin, Roland Emmerich and Ute Emmerich.

Fritz will oversee publicity on all the Centropolis ventures, including film, interactive, special effects, publishing and music.

She reports to the partners and prexy Bill Fay. She replaces Rachel Aberle who ankled the company to pursue other interests.

"We are delighted to welcome Suzanne to the Centropolis family," Devlin said in a statement. "Her experience and expertise in all aspects of entertainment publicity are perfect complements to Centropolis' diverse projects and goals."

At MGM, Fritz was exec director of national publicity since 1995. She worked on such pics as "Leaving Las Vegas," "Get Shorty," "Tomorrow Never Dies," "The Man in the Iron Mask" and the upcoming "Disturbing Behavior" and "At First Sight."

Before MGM, she was with Nancy Seltzer & Associates.
