Fox signs Lovell to cover Glenn flight

Former astronaut to co-host live coverage of Discovery launch

NEW YORK -- The Fox News Channel has signed the former astronaut Jim Lovell, whom Tom Hanks played in "Apollo 13," to co-host the network's live coverage Oct. 19 of Sen. John Glenn's return to space on the shuttle Discovery.

Lovell will provide commentary and serve as sidekick to the anchor Jon Scott. Lovell is president of Lovell Communications, a consultant to the U.S. space program.
