Cruising the 'Limits'
Star makes rare public appearance for preem
Warner Bros.' Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner- produced Steve Prefontaine biopic "Without Limits" had its Hollywood premier Tuesday night with a screening in Westwood and a party at Spago.
On hand at the festivities were the pic's co-scripter and helmer Robert Town, co-stars Donald Sutherland and Monica Potter Wagner and on a rare public night out, Cruise.
Also seen were Cruise's "Jerry Maguire" teammates Renee Zellweger, Cuba Gooding Jr. and scripter-helmer Cameron Crowe. Pic's star Billy Crudup didn't make it.
Pic, about the trials and tribulations of the champion runner whose life was cut short after a car accident, is the second film released under the Cruise/Wagner Productions banner and is Academy Award winner Towne's first foray into helming since 1988's "Tequila Sunrise."
