Fox fills two key TV posts

Bloch, Johnson taking reins

Fox Broadcasting Co. has filled two key executive positions: As expected (Daily Variety, June 26), Cheryl Bloch has been tapped as veep and Peter Johnson as director of drama series development for the network.

In her new position, Bloch will oversee drama development for Fox's primetime and report to Danielle Claman, senior veep of drama series programming.

She joins Fox after serving as senior veep of drama programming for Studios USA, where she devel-oped several series, including CBS' "EZ Streets," NBC's "Partners" and Fox's "Hollyweird."

In his new position, Johnson will continue to develop new drama series while also helping to expand traditional development cycles into a new year-round program development operation for Fox.

Johnson was an executive in drama series development, helping to create new Fox dramas, including "Brimstone." Prior to joining the programming department, Johnson served as manager of programming and scheduling support for Fox's research and marketing department.

Before joining Fox, Johnson was a media research analyst for Western International Media Corp.
