Taylor inks 20th TV deal

Handprint to develop sitcom for 'Brady' thesp

Twentieth Century Fox TV has signed a development deal with actress Christine Taylor ("The Wedding Singer," "The Brady Bunch Movie").

The studio is expected to develop a sitcom for her, with Handprint Entertainment executive producing.

Taylor is well-known for playing Marcia in "The Brady Bunch Movie" and "A Very Brady Sequel," but she's also had roles in films such as "The Craft" and the upcoming indie films "Kiss Toldeo Goodbye" and "Desperate But Not Serious."

Taylor also had a lead role in the short-lived Fox comedy "Party Girl," as well as CBS' "A Good Start" and Nickelodeon's "Hey Dude." She's guest-starred on "Friends," "Murphy Brown," "Seinfeld," "Ellen" and "Caroline in the City."

"My decision to align myself with (20th Century Fox TV president) Sandy (Grushow) was simple -- they know how to make good shows, and they've assembled the best lineup of writers in TV," Taylor said.

Taylor is repped by UTA.
