'Becker' calls Farrell

Former model joins sitcom cast alongside Danson

Former model Terry Farrell has been cast as the female lead opposite Ted Danson in the CBS/Paramount sitcom "Becker."

Farrell will play the owner of the local diner that Danson's character frequents. The sitcom, a David Hackel project, has a 13-episode commitment from CBS.

Farrell gained popularity as an actress with a starring role opposite Morgan Fairchild and Lloyd Bridges on the ABC series "Paper Dolls." Her other credits include the NBC telefilm "L.A. Madame" opposite Faye Dunaway, Danielle Steel's NBC miniseries "Star" and the USA Network telefilm "Reasons of the Heart."

Farrell is repped by Tim Angle of Don Buchwald and Associates and managed by Rick Ax of Gold Coast Management.
