Post-prod'n subsids rolled into one

Stompbox Music moves in with Crush, Voodoo

AdVenture Inc. has created a one-stop post-production facility with the reorganization and restructuring of its three wholly-owned subsidiaries, Voodoo Effects & Graphics, Crush Editorial (formerly the Spot Shop) and the newly formed Stompbox Music and Sound Design. The three companies now operate under a new 10,000 sq. ft. Santa Monica roof.

Voodoo Effects & Graphics, whose recent work includes spots for Bell South and Taco Bell, specializes in visual effects and graphic design and features Flame, Flint, MacIntosh G3 Graphic Workstations and Jaleo, enabling Voodoo to do online and compositing for traditional and high-definition TV. Visual Effects supervisor Chris Kern is joined by VE artist Terry Silberman, graphics designer Lenie Ramos and freelance design director Christopher Wargin.

Crush Editorial editors "dB" Bracamontes, Barnett Kiel and Tom Acito are currently working on projects for Bell South, Samsung, Kirin Beer, MaxFli Golfballs, Subway, Serta Mattresses and El Torito Restaurant. Crush uses AVID 8000 & 4000 PCI editing systems.

Stompbox plans

Voodoo exec producer Steve Weber and Crush exec producer Glenn Martin will co-head the newly created Stompbox Sound Design & Music. Stompbox will bring in freelance music producers on a project-by-project basis, but will feature sound designer and composer Kathryn Korniloff. Stompbox's equipment list includes a Pro Tools III system with a Yamaha O2R Digital Console.

"We believe our facility represents the model for post-production in L.A. in the near future," said Weber. "Our services can now be offered, both separately and together, within our new building, which we have purposely designed in-the-round to maintain a creative boutique atmosphere. The post industry continues to boom in Santa Monica."
