Trimark taps Marshall
Exec slides into TV prod'n veep spot
Marshall is expected to oversee the production of two to four network or cable telefilms per year as well as to secure new co-production ventures for Trimark.
Marshall is also charged with helping the company carve out a niche with high-concept "soft sci-fi" and action films, according to chairman Mark Amin.
"We are excited to have Peter heading up this department," Amin said. "His devotion to the field of development and production is a welcome addition to our already existing drive to strengthen our position in the broadcast and cable arena."
Marshall joins Trimark after serving as VP of production at Benjamin, where he helped develop TNT's "Women in Cour-age" with producers Stuart and Alise Benjamin.
Prior to Benjamin, Marshall was a development exec at Witt-Thomas Films, where he worked on "Radiant City" and "Suddenly," both for ABC and producer Jeff Weiss. Marshall also served as VP of development at Mesmerize Studios. He began his career as a stage actor.
