"Titanic" was the unsurprising winner of the favorite movie and "Kenan & Kel" took the fave TV show prize Saturday at Nickelodeon's 11th annual Kids' Choice Awards, held at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion.
Garnering the favorite movie actor and actress tributes were Kids' Choice Hall of Famer Will Smith (for "Men in Black") and Alicia Silverstone ("Batman & Robin"), while the TV prizes were hauled in by "Home Improvement's" Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Melissa Joan Hart of "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch." Hanson was anointed fave musical group, and its tune "Mmmbop" the top tune of the year.
Sean (Puffy) Combs was the only honoree to take home two Kids' Choice blimp statuettes on Saturday, one for favorite singer and the other in the new category of top dresser. Michael Jordan and figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi were favorite male and female athlete.
Other winners include Nickelodeon's "Rugrats" (favorite cartoon), "Goosebumps: Deep Trouble II" (book), the Chicago Bulls (sports team), Salem from "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" (animal star), "Super Mario" (video game) and Tia & Tamera Mowry (inducted into the Kids' Choice Awards Hall of Fame).
Nickelodeon said it logged more than 5 million votes from kids, with more than 4.2 million of them coming from the Nickelodeon Online Web site.
