ABC pilot adds Eigeman
He'll star opposite Jennifer Grey in Mehlman-scripted show
In the pilot, Eigeman plays a New York freelance writer researching a book entitled "Los Angeles: How Can You Stomach It?" Naturally, while he's on the West Coast doing legwork for his acerbic work, he gets sucked into the vortex and doesn't seem to be able to get out of L.A. Andy Ackerman directs the pilot.
Eigeman takes his first series role as his bigscreen career continues to build. He's got three films being released this year and is proving habit-forming for directors. After getting his start acting for director Whit Stillman in "Metropolitan" and its follow-up "Barcelona," Eigeman just finished Stillman's new film, "The Last Days of Disco" for Castle Rock. He's also done back-to-back Noah Baumbach-directed films. Eigeman starred with Eric Stoltz and Annabella Sciorra in Baumbach's "Mr. Jealousy," and he's signed to star in the helmer's next film, "Highball."
The actor is repped by Joel Shire, Sue Leibman and Nikki Pfeffer at ICM and managed by Kate Edwards.
