Scribe Kushell inks Carsey-Werner pact

To continue with '3rd Rock' and develop new series

Carsey-Werner has inked an exclusive two-year, multimillion-dollar overall deal with Bob Kushell, a writer and supervising producer on NBC's "3rd Rock From the Sun."

Kushell, who is also penning the feature "First Gentleman" for Warner Bros., joined "3rd Rock" in 1995 as a co-producer.

Kushell will continue to work on "3rd Rock" with the show's creators and exec producers Bonnie and Terry Turner, and he'll also develop new series for the company.

Prior to joining "3rd Rock," Kushell wrote for Fox's "The Simpsons" and the HBO comedy "Dream On."

Kushell's deal was brokered by Chris Silbermann at Broder, Kurland, Webb, Uffner and his attorney Ken Richman.
