Fox to bow hour 'Police' series
Infamous reality specials to air Thursday nights in April
"World's Wildest Police Videos," will debut Thursday, April 2, at 8 p.m. and will be hosted by retired Sheriff's Lt. John Bunnell. Fox has ordered six episodes of the series, which will be executive produced by Paul Stojanovich for Stojanovich Prods.
Fox's two Thursday sitcoms "Ask Harriet" and "Between Brothers" will be on hiatus for the rest of the season, with original episodes being burned off over the summer. Specials will air on Thursdays in March.
"World's Wildest Police Videos" is based on Fox's successful reality specials, such as "World's Scariest Police Chases," "Surviving the Moment of Impact," "World's Scariest Police Stings" and "World's Scariest Police Shootouts."
While Fox's reality specials have been a prime target for TV critics, they are a favorite of viewers. The four original "World's Scariest Police Chases" specials have averaged an 11.1/18 in homes, an 8.4/23 in adults 18-49 and 17.4 million total viewers.
