Pack of stars for 'Cigarettes'

$11 mil party pic draws thesps

Jay Mohr, Angela Featherstone, Paul Rudd, Catherine Kellner, Martha Plimpton, Mary McCormack and Nicole Parker have joined the cast of "200 Cigarettes," which begins shooting Monday in New York.

The thesps join previously announced cast members Ben Affleck, Courtney Love, Christina Ricci, Gaby Hoffman and David Chappelle in the $11 million MTV Films-Dogstar Films-Lakeshore production.

The comedy, which marks the helming debut of veteran casting director Risa Bramon Garcia, follows a group of New York singles on their way to a wild New Year's Eve party in 1981.

Dogstar's Betsy Beers and MTV Films' David Gale are producing. The script is by Shana Larsen.

Lakeshore Intl., which is currently preselling foreign rights to the project at AFM, is in negotiations with distributors from several major territories.

Paramount Pictures will distribute in the U.S.
