Big Dogs taps Blum
Exec slides into senior veep slot
In her new position, Blum's mandate will be to spearhead efforts to extend the reach of Big Dog into TV, books and other media, turning the logo into a character. She will oversee Big Dog's domestic and international licensing programs, developing national promo campaigns supporting both a potential TV series and the company's core business in retailing and marketing.
Big Dogs prexy and CEO Andrew Feshbach said in a statement, "A number of companies have shown interest in a Big Dog television series. We realize that we need someone with Jacki's expertise if we are to take advantage of these and other trademark and character licensing opportunities and further build and leverage our brand."
There are currently some 150 Big Dogs owned-and-operated retail stores throughout the U.S. The company also sells its products via a catalog and wholesale accounts.
