Addy daddy for 'Frost'

'Monty' star bundles up

NEW YORK -- Hot off of stripping for the Oscar-nominated "The Full Monty," Mark Addy will be bundling up to join Michael Keaton and Kelly Preston in the Warner Bros. holiday film "Frost." It's the actor's first studio starring role.

Addy will play the best friend of Jack Frost (Keaton), a man who's killed in a snowstorm and returns after Christmas to reunite with his son. Preston plays the boy's mother, and Addy becomes the kid's surrogate father. Troy Miller directs from a Mark Steven Johnson script that Steve Bloom and Jonathan Roberts also worked on. The film is produced by Mark Canton and Irving Azoff, with Matthew Baer, Michael Tadross, Jeff Berry and Richard Goldsmith exec producing.

Addy also recently signed a series development deal with ABC. ICM's Nikki Pfeffer closed his "Frost" deal.
