WB ups Sagal
Exec climbs to senior VP
Sagal replaces Jeremy Williams, who left the post in June.
Reporting to James R. Miller, president of worldwide theatrical business operations, Sagal will work on the studio's co-financing and distribution agreements, such as the recently announced pact with Canal Plus, as well as on internal production projects.
"I'm pleased (Sagal) will be focusing his energies on the future of our worldwide movie business, both in terms of current relationships and upcoming acquisitions," said Miller.
Sagal joined WB in 1993 as assistant general counsel for the theatrical and legal departments. In 1995, he became special counsel, investments and acquisitions, and in June of 1997, he was promoted to VP and general counsel for business and legal affairs.
Prior to his affiliation with Warners, Sagal worked at the law firm Coudet Brothers.
