Granite Broadcasting Corp. earned $1.4 million in the fourth quarter, the company said Wednesday, compared with a loss of $744,000 a year earlier on 15% higher revenue of $42.7 million.

Sinclair Broadcasting Group Inc. said it lost $7.2 million in the fourth quarter, compared with a profit of $2.9 million a year earlier. But earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 13% to $80.5 million in the quarter on 8% higher revenues of $152.1 million.
