Norwegian filmmaker Pal Sletaune, whose debut film "Junk Mail" won the Intl. Critics Award at last year's Cannes Film Festival, has signed with the Becsey, Wisdom, Kalajian agency, to be repped by Victoria Wisdom. Sleataune is penning his follow-up to "Junk Mail," which recently made the rounds of the Sundance Film Fest and will be released by Lion's Gate in April.
Tommy O'Haver, the director of the recent Sundance fave "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss," has signed with the Agency for the Performing Arts, where he will be repped by Brant Rose and Adam Shulman. At this year's Sundance Film Festival, Trimark picked up the rights to O'Haver's feature debut, paying a reported $600,000 for the rights to the "boy meets boy" tale.
Traci Lords, who appears in the TV series "The Profiler" and the upcoming films "Blade," "Extramarital" and "Boogie Boy," has signed with the Paul Kohner Agency. She will be repped by Mark Scroggs and Leland LeBarre.
3 Arts Entertainment has upped Lainie Sorkin to talent manager at the management and production company. Sorkin now will assist in the day-to-day management of such clients as Keanu Reeves, Orlando Jones, Nia Long, Sean Patrick Flanery, Todd Field and Jennifer Garner.
Sorkin joined 3 Arts in May 1997, when she worked on the desk of partner Erwin Stoff. She then left to work for Addis-Wechsler & Associates, working for the management firm's senior VP Eli Selden.
