As part of Universal's ongoing efforts to expand its presence in the global marketplace, Stacy Barger and Elizabeth Gaynes have been promoted to the post of VP. Both will continue to report to Nadia Bronson, president of international marketing.
Barger will serve as VP, international advertising and promotion. In her new position, she will develop and supervise all creative audiovisual and print ad campaigns and promotions for Universal's films overseas in conjunction with the marketing division of UIP, the foreign theatrical sales arm for U, Paramount and MGM pictures.
Gaynes will serve as VP, international marketing. In her new position, she will develop and implement marketing strategies for Universal's films overseas in conjunction with UIP's marketing division. She also serves as the department's liaison for cross-divisional activities with the studio's feature marketing, consumer products, music, television, homevideo and recreation divisions.
Barger, who joined Universal Pictures in 1990, most recently served as director, international advertising and promotion. Gaynes, who has served as director of special projects, international marketing, since 1996, joined Universal in 1989 and has held various positions in the motion picture and recreation divisions.
