Nickelodeon renewed its live-action series "The Journey of Allen Strange" for a second season. New episodes will air as part of Nick's expanded primetime lineup this fall, but scheduling decisions have not been made yet. "Allen Strange" currently runs at 9:30 p.m. Saturdays as part of Nick's Snick lineup. Also, this fall, the kids cabler will add a second half-hour of original kids programming at 8:30 p.m.

Former CBS Television Network president James A. Warner has been named president of the Primedia Magazine Group. Warner will be responsible for all specialty consumer, technical and trade magazines, and related activities, including new media, joint ventures, and licensing for the group, which includes titles Seventeen, New York, Soap Opera Digest and Modern Bride.
