Hope Davis to travel Lakeshore's 'Road'

Set to co-star with Bridges, Robbins, Cusack

Hope Davis, who co-stars in the current Sundance entry "Next Stop Wonderland," is set to join Tim Robbins, Jeff Bridges and Joan Cusack in Lakeshore Entertainment's "Arlington Road."

Polygram Films will distribute the film domestically and in several major foreign territories, including the U.K., France, Benelux and Germany. Lakeshore is handling all other territories (Daily Variety, Jan. 9).

Pic, which begins shooting this month, is directed by Mark Pellington from a script by Ehren Kruger. The film features Robbins and Cusack as a seemingly normal married couple. Bridges -- with whom Davis' character is intimately entwined -- is their next-door neighbor and a professor specializing in terrorism, and starts to suspect the pair are hatching a deadly plot.

Davis made her screen debut in Joel Schumacher's "Flatliners," which she followed with small roles in "Home Alone," "Kiss of Death," "Mr. Wrong" and "Guy." In recent years the stage-trained actress has threatened to knock Parker Posey off her "Queen of the Indies" perch with acclaimed roles in "The Daytrippers," and "The Myth of Fingerprints."

She will next be seen in Fox Searchlight's "The Imposters" (formerly titled "Ship of Fools").

Davis' deal was brokered by Linda Jacobs Kalodner of Writers and Artists Agency and attorney Michael Luisi of Frankfurt, Garbus, Klein and Selz. She is managed by Thomas Chestaro.
