It's the story of two male friends undergoing midlife crises, who stumble upon what they think is the fountain of youth, only to find things are never as simple as they seem. It will be an f/x comedy in the vein of "The Mask" and "The Nutty Professor."
"First Kid" grossed $25 million for Caravan and Disney, and the studio's TV division currently is in talks to turn the concept - a Secret Service agent protecting a bratty president's kid - into a TV series.
"The Fountain of Truth" shortly could be the second project Evans has on the Fox lot. He's in talks right now to write and direct a sequel to the last film he directed at Fox, "The Sandlot," which probably will be a prequel to the original. Evans is repped by UTA's Jeremy Zimmer, and Kelleher is repped by William Morris' Alan Gasmer. Both are lawyered by Steve Warren of Hansen Jacobson Teller & Hoberman.
