CNET Inc. has named Douglas N. Woodrum chief financial officer. He will also join CNET's board of directors. Woodrum had been exec VP and CFO of Heritage Media Corp., the Dallas-based marketing services outfit he helped found in 1987. He also did a turn at Meredith Corp.

Verve Records has tapped Eric Fuller controller. Joining the label's financial department from Polygram Records, where he was director of finance for the Polygram Classics and Jazz arms.
