Fox inks p.a. to script deal

NEW YORK - Until this week, Ben Ramsey was an aspiring writer and part-time production assistant who rode his bike to studio meetings. Not anymore. Ramsey just signed a two-script deal with Fox worth mid-six-figures to the scribe.

Fox made the deal after reading a sample script called "Blunt Force," described as an African-American "Pulp Fiction." The studio not only signed him to write two new scripts, but also acquired "Blunt," to be produced by George Jackson and Doug McHenry with Larry Robinson on an $8 million budget.

Zide and the agency are also working on a package with Wesley Snipes' company, Amen-Ra, on "The Big Hit," a pic which will feature Snipes in a role. He's repped by CAA and managed by Warren Zide.
