Goldwyn to top Par Pix

Speculation about changes in Paramount Pictures' production ranks, which was rampant before the 1996 holiday season, is moving toward a resolution. Paramount is expected to promote president of production John Goldwyn to president of the studio. His contract runs through the end of 1997. The studio is also looking to make executive VP of production Michelle Manning the new president of production, insiders said. That brings into question what will happen with exec VP of production Don Granger, with whom it's said Par is also negotiating a new contract
