Claire Danes and Alex D. Linz will receive Star of Tomorrow awards at ShoWest, it was announced Thursday.
Set to be presented Thursday, the awards are given annually to young talent. Past honorees include Winona Ryder, Cameron Diaz, Elijah Wood and Mara Wilson.
Danes cemented her popularity this year in director Baz Luhrman's updated "William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet." Early in her career she received a Golden Globe for her starring role in the TV series "My So-Called Life" and gained notoriety in such films as "Little Women" and "Home for the Holidays." Her upcoming films include "Polish Wedding" with Gabriel Byrne and Lena Olina, Oliver Stone's "U-Turn" starring Sean Penn and Nick Nolte, and Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation of the John Grisham novel "The Rainmaker."
Linz, the Young Star designate, made his film debut as Michelle Pfeiffer's son in "One Fine Day." On television he has appeared on such shows as "The Young and the Restless," "Cybill" and "Lois & Clark," and stars in the upcoming "Home Alone 3."
Separately, Arnold Schwarzenegger will receive his previously announced ShoWest Humanitarian of the Year award at the Warner Bros. luncheon Wednesday.
