Telewest taps Davidson

Stephen Davidson was named chief exec of Telewest, the U.K.'s second-biggest cable company. The 41-year-old is the first Brit to occupy a top position in Britain's cable industry, which has been dominated by U.S. execs. Davidson had been serving as acting chief exec of Telewest since the abrupt departure of American Alan Michels in August.
