Disney biz door opens for Gates

Exec upped to veep, business planning and development for interactive division

Anne Gates has been upped to veepee of business planning and development for Disney Interactive, responsible for strategic and new business initiatives for DI's ongoing growth.

Gates, previously VP of finance at Disney Consumer Products North America, will now report to Jan Smith, senior vice president, DI Worldwide, and be based on Disney's Burbank lot.

Gates came to Disney in 1991 after several years at PepsiCo. She was made veepee in 1993.
