CBS Sports has tapped Tony Petitti as senior VP of business affairs and programming, a new post responsible for managing contract negotiations for the Eye web's future rights deals. Petitti joins new CBS Sports prexy Sean McManus after just 3-1/2 months at NBC, where he was VP, negotiations, and after three years as a programming VP at ABC Sports.
Petitti replaces some of the duties held by three business affairs execs dismissed by McManus in recent weeks, and also will handle long-term planning and programming strategies for the division. He is expected to be heavily involved in CBS' college football and basketball deals.
