NEW YORK --- "Violet," the Brian Crawley/Jeanine Tesori musical about a scarred woman's struggle for beauty, and Paula Vogel's "How I Learned to Drive" will take the top prizes in the musical and play categories of Off Broadway's Lucille Lortel Awards.
Top acting honors went to David Morse as a pedophile and Mary Louise Parker as the teenage niece he targets in Vogel's play. Mark Brokaw won the outstanding direction award for his work on "How I Learned to Drive" and on Kenneth Lonergan's "This Is Our Youth."
The 11th annual awards, announced Tuesday, will be presented May 5 at the Lucille Lortel Theater.

Costumes: Howard Crabtree for "When Pigs Fly."
