The guests were as eclectic as the movie they came to celebrate.
For the L.A. preem of David Lynch's "Lost Highway" on Tuesday, everyone from rocker Alanis Morissette to vet thesp Robert Blake and German helmer Wim Wenders showed up.
A frustrated Patricia Arquette, the pic's female lead, was among the few no-shows: She was stuck in fog-shrouded Buenos Aires. But most of "Lost Highway's" principals were on hand for the evening, which began with a screening at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood and was followed by a party at the El Rey Theatre a few miles away.
"Lost Highway" reps included director Lynch, attending with producer and editor Mary Sweeney; the other two producers, Deepak Nayar and Tom Sternberg; and thesps Bill Pullman, Balthazar Getty, Blake and Natasha Gregson Wagner. October Films was well-represented, with execs Bingham Ray, John Schmidt and Amir Malin all at the preem.
At the El Rey, 2424 restaurant provided crab cakes, chicken tacos and more for the party, a benefit for the American Cinematheque. Also on hand for the festivities: Bill Paxton, Oscar nominees Billy Bob Thornton and Brenda Blethyn, Kevin Spacey, and Linda Fiorentino.
