'Feeling' fine at preem

Several hundred guests were cordially invited to witness the premiere of Universal and the Bubble Factory's "That Old Feeling" on Monday night in Century City.

Preemgoers made their way down the white carpet and were ushered into two Cineplex Odeon theaters, dubbed the bride's side and the groom's and decorated with tulle and wedding-like floral arrangements. Before the pic unspooled, Lorraine Sheinberg gave a sobering talk about the preem's charities, the Westside Children's Center and the Children's Action Network, and offered some dismaying stats about kids in Los Angeles County.

In the audience was the pic's cast, including Bette Midler, Dennis Farina, Paula Marshall, Danny Nucci and Gail O'Grady, as well as director Carl Reiner, producer Bonnie Bruckheimer and producer-writer Leslie Dixon. The Bubble Factory was represented by Sid, Bill and Jon Sheinberg; there for Universal were Edgar Bronfman Jr., Frank Biondi, Ron Meyer, Howard Weitzman, Sandy Climan, Chris McGurk, Casey Silver and Marc Platt.

After the pic, preemgoers, buffeted by chill winds, made their way across the street to the Century Club, where Ambrosia served up a tasty buffet.

Spotted at the do were Penny Marshall, O'Grady's "NYPD Blue" supporters Jimmy Smits and Dennis Franz, Barbara Hershey, Tom Selleck, Swoosie Kurtz, Rob Reiner, Warner Bros.' Bob Daly and Carole Bayer Sager, Sammy Hagar and Jennifer Lopez.

The Middle-East International Film Festival kicks off this fall.
