Film, TV and stage actor Vince Williams died Jan. 5 of cancer in Englewood, N.J. He was 39.

Williams, a member of the cast of daytime TV drama "Guiding Light" from 1989 until June 1996, recently had a recurring role on the serial "Another World." He also appeared on "As the World Turns."

In addition to his television credits, he was featured in the stage production of "Fences" starring James Earl Jones and Billy Dee Williams .

Film credits included "Quick Change," "Tennessee Night" and "Rude Awakening."

Williams is survived by his wife, Kathryn, two sons, his parents, three brothers, three sisters and his grandmother.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 25 at St. John the Divine Episcopal Cathedral, 1047 Amsterdam Ave., New York City.
