Cunningham Prods. names Haslett veep
At Cunningham, Haslett is helping to develop New Line's "Freddy vs. Jason" feature, which pits the "Friday the 13th" monster against Freddy Krueger of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" fame.
Cunningham, who produced Wes Craven's "Last House on the Left" and directed "Spring Break," also is develop-ing several properties outside of his trademark teen sex and slasher genres.
In the hopper
Projects include an adaptation of Ed McBain's "See Them Die," a legal drama entitled "NT-GLTY" and a special effects-driven comedy penned by Dean Lorey ("Happy Gilmore" "Major Payne").
Haslett, a USC film school grad, was previously senior story analyst at Screenplay Systems, which publishes Dramatica screenwriting software. He led the company's Writers Group Workshops and helped design the Dramatica Writers DreamKit, a scaled-down version of the program.
