Goode exits Eye for Lifetime

CBS Entertainment Prods. VP of series development Kelly Goode is ankling the Eye web to head up a new West Coast program development division for Lifetime cable.

At Lifetime, Goode will be responsible for developing all original programming --- exclusive of movies --- that emanates from this coast. She will work closely with Marian Effinger, a 10-year Walt Disney Co. veteran who was hired last week as Lifetime's director of programming creative affairs.

Effinger has served as VP, advertising, publicity and promotion, at Disney. In her Lifetime position, she will work out of Los Angeles and report to Goode.

At least one or two additional program executive appointments are expected to be made to Lifetime's West Coast program development team in the near future.

Goode, whose Lifetime post has yet to be given an official title, developed and supervised both comedy and drama series development for CBS Entertainment Prods. since 1991. Her credits there include "Touched by an Angel," "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" and "Caroline in the City" (which airs on NBC but is produced by CBS).
