CBS Eye on Primestar
NEW YORK --- CBS Eye on People will be available to the people who subscribe to satcaster Primestar today, as the result of a deal that makes the fledgling information/entertainment service available to the 1.9 million Primestar homes.
Those subs who purchase Primestar's basic PrimeValue package for $32.99 will be able to receive the network.
Eye on People already had been added to direct broadcast satellite provider DirecTV's lineup in July. With Primestar in the fold, service remains on target to reach its revised goal of 10 million homes by spring.
Service has signed affiliation agreements with MSOs that reach a total of 45 million homes, but has landed actual commitments that cover a mere smattering of that universe.
