If all you need is Beatles,...
In case you haven't heard, KGIL-AM radio (1260 on the dial) has switched to an all-Beatles format. That's right: all-Beatles, all the time, from "And I Love Her" to "Yer Blues."
Beginning today, the station will begin airing rare original masters of true mono mixes of Beatles albums up through "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." Program director Jim Roope explains, "These albums don't sound anything like the stuff you can buy in the store. The Beatles recorded these specifically for AM radio, in mono."
