Czernin upped to prexy at Di Novi Pictures
Peter Czernin has been named president of Di Novi Pictures, Denise Di Novi's Warner Bros.-based produc-tion company.
Czernin, who had been VP of the company, succeeds Steven Rabiner, who is departing to pursue other career op-tions, according to the studio.
Di Novi, whose pic "Edwards and Hunt" will be released by Warner Bros. later this year, had a prior production deal with Turner Pictures before the label was dissolved in the Time Warner merger. Di Novi's deal then went to Warner Bros. in the process.
Czernin joined Di Novi's company in 1995, after spending two years with Sandollar Prods. as director of develop-ment. Before that, he was a story analyst at New Regency Prods.
Di Novi earlier was at Warner Bros. when she worked with Tim Burton as producer on "Batman Returns." She later produced "Little Women."
