Doug Frank has been promoted to executive vice president of Warner Bros. Music and Ellen Schwartz has been upped to director of development of Warner Bros. Music's film projects.
The promotions came with the news that Gary LeMel had signed a new pact as president of Warner Bros. Music and had been named to head the newly created Warner Sunset Records. (Daily Variety, March 10).
Frank, who had been senior vice president, will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the de-partment.
Frank joined the studio in late 1986 as director of music development, was later named VP and was promoted to senior VP in 1994. As a songwriter, composer and musician, he first reached gold and platinum status when his songs "After You" and "Out of My Hands" were recorded by Dionne Warwick.
Schwartz has worked with LeMel for eight years at Warner Bros. Music. She has developed music-oriented film projects and assisted in soundtracks for Warner Bros. films.
