Sands to join Porizkova for 'Long Time'
NEW YORK --- Julian Sands ("Room With a View," "Leaving Las Vegas") and Paulina Porizkova ("Anna") will star in "Long Time Since," an independent film written and directed by Jay Anania that will begin lensing in Gotham on April 7.
Set against the myth of the goddess Diana and her twin Apollo, "Long Time" is the story of a woman working as a botanical illustrator in Gotham who unravels the mystery of a murder that she witnessed 20 years earlier.
A veteran film and TV producer, Anania has been involved in more than 50 productions, including the series "Writers on Writers." He recently completed the feature "The Pagan Book of Arthur Rimbaud," which will be released theatrically by Noon Pictures.
"Long Time" will be produced by Robert Colesberry, whose credits include "The Devil's Own," "Mississippi Burning" and "Billy Bathgate," and Karen Arikian, the former executive director of the Independent Feature Project.
